NEW ARENA EVENT PARKING AND TRAFFIC PLAN FOR 2010-2011 SEASON Plan will address patrons’ experience, guaranteeing parking while
minimizing delays due to increased traffic.
Actors Theatre of Louisville’s Managing Director Jennifer Bielstein announces a parking
and traffic plan to answer the rising concerns from patrons as to the effect of KFC Yum! Center events
and traffic on their Theatre experience. The plan includes numerous new routes to the Theatre,
discounted pricing for patrons and new technology to improve garage efficiency.
TRAFFIC ADVISORY Due to construction, there will be intermittent closure of Third Street between River Road and Main Street that may create a slight detour for patrons exiting westbound I-64 via the Third Street/River Road exit. Additionally, the construciton of streetscape and lighting improvements will create closure of Second Street between River Road and Main Street until October 15. Actors Theatre is working with the Metro Government to ensure that the route is clearly marked for your convenience. Westbound I-64 River Road/Third Street exit detour
Remain in the right lane when exiting I-64 via Exit 5, turn right on River Road.
Go 1 block, turn left onto Fourth Street and up the incline
Go 2 blocks, turn left on Market Street
Go 2 blocks, turn left on Second Street
Go 1 block, turn left on Main Street and approach Actors Theatre, ahead 1 block on the left
Enter the Actors Theatre Parking garage via the entrance on Third or Main
